Daniel Radcliffe named “Broadway.com Star of the Year” by fans

by Keith Hawk · Published December 30, 2011 · Updated January 19, 2017

After many weeks of voting online, Broadway.com fans have chosen their ‘Star of the Year’ for 2011…the winner – Daniel Radcliffe.

Dan has been performing almost the entire year as J. Pierrepont Finch in the hit Broadway show How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying alongside John Larroquette. Certainly one of the critical factors in the fans decision was that Dan was not only brilliant in the show, but also that he had not missed one performance for the entire run, juggling eight performances per week. Readers may remember that Warner Brothers sold out three of the shows in the summer in order to allow Dan the opportunity to promote Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

At this point, Dan is finishing his run on the show and will be handing the lead role over to Darren Criss for three weeks followed by Nick Jonas. Dan will take the nuch deserved down time in early 2012 to promote his next film release The Woman In Black, which is scheduled to be released on February 3, 2012.

Congratulations Dan on this much deserved Award!
