Fan Art of the Week: “Harry Potter speed drawing”

by Keith Hawk · Published February 7, 2012 · Updated March 22, 2018

Our next fan art submission of the week comes from Andrea and she has sent us a video that looks deep into her creative process. We get to watch her draw this incredible likeness of Harry in a matter of minutes.

Noah’s Notes: Not only is Andrea incredibly skilled with a graphite pencil, but she can use it wickedly fast!…Anybody? In truth, it took Andrea approximately 5-6 hours to construct this masterpiece. I encourage all budding Potter artists out there to take note of Andrea’s shading strategy – she expertly goes from light to dark while sketching the various features of Harry’s face and brings out the most prominent with heavy layers of graphite. Excellent work Andrea!

The MuggleNet Fan Art Section boasts an extremely large archive of paintings and drawings. Head on over to the section so you can see some other great Potter-art, and you can also learn how to submit your own piece there.

Also, you can check out our Fan Art – Poetry Section, Fan Art – Craft Section, and also our Fan Art – Music Section.
