Sunday’s BAFTAs: Emma Watson’s make-up artist gives tips for the red carpet look

This weekend’s BAFTAs will highlight excellence in film, television, video games, and more. In January, Daniel Radcliffe announced the nominations for the 2012 Orange British Academy Film Awards, which includes nominations for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in the categories of Production Design, Sound, Special Visual Effects, Make-Up and Hair.

Speaking of make up and hair, the red carpet event held this weekend means that all of the A-listers will be spending a substantial amount of time putting together the perfect look. OK! magazine goes behind the scenes and learns first hand at what becoming red-carpet ready means for stars like Emma Watson.

The magazine spoke with Charles Worthington, top British hairdresser, about the must-have hair trends for this awards season. The photos of the chosen bouffant style can be seen at the link above.

Additionally, and most interestingly, Emma Watson’s make-up artist, Charlotte Hayward, explains the science behind matching hues to the celebrity’s chosen dress and hair style. Each important factor comes together to make a complete masterpiece for the big event.

OK! states:

“As we head home still smiling three hours later, we can’t help but feel a new appreciation for the stars ahead of their red carpet appearance.”

The Orange British Academy Film Awards will debut on Sunday, February 12. Will you be watching?
