“The Woman in Black” most successful horror movie in British history
According to a new article, Dan Radcliffe’s new horror film The Woman in Black, has achieved a box office record…the most successful horror film in British history.
The film spent three weeks at the top of the charts in the U.K. leading to a box office gross of $23.2 million toppling the previous record holder of Nicole Kidman’s The Others from 2001 ($18.9 million).
From the article: Hammer CEO and president Simon Oakes described the box office bonanza for the film as “an important achievement that affirms the re-birth of Hammer.”
Additionally, The Woman in Black has attained a box office gross of just over $50 million in the United States, according to Box Office Mojo.
