Muggle Quidditch at the Summer Olympics Torch Ceremony will be covered LIVE this weekend

by Keith Hawk · Published July 7, 2012 · Updated January 19, 2017

Muggle Quidditch at the Summer Olympics starts tomorrow morning in Oxford, UK. Five countries are represented at this monumental event for the sport and you will be able to watch the action.

Couldn’t find a Portkey, Axeminster Flying Carpet, or a million Galleons to get to the matches in person, then don’t worry as Molewood Media will be showcasing the action live right here.

The action will begin with a Round Robin tournament between all five countries: UK, USA, France, Canada, and Australia. This tournament will be held from 10:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. (BST) at Cutteslowe Park. On Monday, just prior to the Olympic Torch arriving in Oxford, a final match will be played at the South Park Torch Relay Festival from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST. This exhibition match will feature the host team of the UK against the best team from the Round Robin tournament.

MuggleNet will have a special report after the conclusion of the event that will be written by a very special friend of the site and the Harry Potter fandom. This young actress from the films will be in attendance throughout the weekend and is extremely excited to watch the tournament with her family.

You can also follow all of the updates on Twitter by following @Quidditch2012

Good luck to all five teams!
