‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ will be released on Blu-ray/DVD February 2013

by Keith Hawk · Published November 15, 2012 · Updated January 19, 2017

If you still have not seen the wonderful Stephen Chbosky film The Perks of Being a Wallflower starring Harry Potter heroine Emma Watson, you will be able to purchase the movie when it gets released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Copy on February 12, 2013 according to an article in The Ohio. However, the film will be available for Digital Download on January 22.

Heralded as The Breakfast Club for a new generation, this film featured stellar performances by stars Emma Watson, Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief), and Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin).

The film follows beautiful, free-spirited Sam (Watson) and her fearless stepbrother Patrick (Miller) as they shepherd Charlie (Lerman) through new friendships, first love, burgeoning sexuality, wild parties, midnight screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a quest for the perfect song.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the film will include tons of special features, including:  two audio commentaries; one featuring screenwriter/director Stephen Chbosky, and the other with Chobsky and the cast; deleted scenes; dailies; and a featurette. The Perks of Being a Wallflower Blu-ray/DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and $29.95, respectively.

Have you seen this film in theaters? Tell us what you thought as this editor absolutely LOVED the film. Are you anxious to purchase the DVD? Let us know all of your thoughts in the comments below.
