New “Half-Blood Prince” paperback cover from Scholastic is unveiled at SDCC

MuggleNet is present at the San Diego Comic-Con for the penultimate unveiling of the new paperback cover art for the Harry Potter book series. In front of thousands of fans, the new artwork for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, created by Kazu Kibuishi, was revealed for the very first time and you can see it here:

The entire Scholastic set complete with all of the new covers will be available for purchase from Scholastic beginning on August 27, 2013 in celebration of the 15th anniversary since the initial publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

You can see ALL of the new covers by Kazu that have been unveiled to date right here:

  • Order of the Phoenix Cover

There is still ONE MORE cover to be revealed. The Deathly Hallows unveiling event will take place in New York City at Scholastic Headquarters on July 31. MuggleNet will be in attendance for this event, so if you are in the area, be sure to say hello.
