Meet Elvis Dumbledore

Today is Halloween, and on what better a day than this could we showcase a brand new Harry Potter cosplay project? While the results of our 2013 MuggleNet Halloween Costume Competition are forthcoming, this video project is something entirely different!

Albus Dumbledore is one of the most famous wizards in the world. But how did he get his start? What if in his youth he was, in fact, a rock legend? What if he was known as Elvis Percival, world-renowned artist with such hit singles as “Dragon,” “Felix,” and “Owls, Owls, Owls!”? This documentary chronicles Albus’s early career, from the first hit single to his inevitable world tour.

The video is 100% a fan project, shot in two days in the twin cities of Bristol, Virginia, and Bristol, Tennessee. The “Elvis” wizard costume was designed by Twin Roses Designs, and a Facebook page for The King himself exists right here! Projects like these show that fan creativity knows no bounds and that the story of Harry still moves us to this day. Check out the video and view 50+ glorious high resolution images of the costume in the gallery on Facebook. Happy Halloween!
