Bonnie bakes for Sport Relief!

by Sophie Reid · Published January 5, 2014 · Updated May 4, 2018

Bonnie Wright is set to take part in a Sport Relief special of the UK hit show The Great British Bakeoff. This Sport Relief special will see a set of celebrity bakers compete against each other in a series of bakes. The bakes are judged by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. Here’s a little more about the series:

The series will be stripped across Monday 13th January to Thursday 16th January with four celebrity bakers, of varying baking experience, competing against each other in four mini Bake Offs. All the celebrity bakers will be put through their paces on signature, technical and showstopper bakes. From pesky pies to celebratory cakes and troublesome tarts, the competition is fierce and some of the baking astounding. At the end of each episode the celebrity baker who rises above the rest will be crowned Sport Relief Star Baker.

A trailer for the show is available here.

Sport Relief, part of the bigger Comic Relief, is a UK charity that raises money to

change lives at home and abroad. In the UK, you help give shelter to young people living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse. Across the world, your money helps children into education and provides communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.

To find out more about the work that Sport Relief does alongside Comic Relief visit their website here. This year’s fundraiser runs from March 21 to March 23.

Bonnie has also commented on the food at Hogwarts, saying, “It was always hot at Hogwarts, and the food was fake so [that] it wouldn’t be smelly.”

Are you looking forward to seeing Bonnie baking? Do you think she will rise to the top and be crowned Sport Relief Bake Off Champion?
