“Now You See Me: The Second Act” begins filming
Following last month’s confirmation that Harry Potter‘s own Daniel Radcliffe would be joining the sequel of Now You See Me, Radcliffe has confirmed via his official Google+ page that filming has begun on the project, officially titled Now You See Me: The Second Act.
Apologizing for not being able to share any photos from the set of the film yet, Daniel thanked his fans for their continued support:
Dear Google+ers: Thank you so much for helping us to near the 50 million mile stone. I’m sorry I have [sic] posted much recently, but I have just started filming NOW YOU SEE ME: THE SECOND ACT, which has already been a fantastic experience, working with an amazing cast and crew. I’d love to share some pictures, but I’m pretty sure that’d get me in trouble with our producers. Suffice to say I’m excited for everyone to see the movie (in 2016!). Thanks again for your continued support! You’re the best (yes, all of you!) – Dan
As previously reported, the synopsis of the film promises a different kind of magic than audiences are used to seeing from Radcliffe, whose character is named Walter:
One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in NOW YOU SEE ME 2 only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.
Also signed on to the film are Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield, Mean Girls) and Jay Chou (The Green Hornet). Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) is directing.
The release date for Now You See Me: The Second Act is set for June 10, 2016.
Are you looking forward to seeing the film? Do you hope Dan will be able to share pictures with us soon? Let us know in the comments!
