Rupert Grint’s “It’s Only a Play” continues to break records!

The Broadway comedy It’s Only a Play, starring Rupert Grint, has become a massive hit since it began in October, recouping its $3.9 million capitalization.

The show has also earned more than $1 million per week, which convinced producers to continue the show at a different venue since another show is already scheduled to take its place.

It’s Only a Play is now the first production of the 2014-2015 season to recoup, and the success is expected to continue through early January, when Lane will exit the show with Martin Short taking his place. Soon after, Maulik Pancholy will take over for Rupert when he exits, and Kate Finneran, in place of Mullally. Hopefully, the show will continue to excel with the new cast additions!
