First clip from “The Casual Vacancy”: Word of Barry Fairbrother’s death spreads

Are you excited for the television adaptation of The Casual Vacancy? Following the trailer that aired last week, BBC has now released the first clip from the series! It features Howard Mollison (Sir Michael Gambon) as he learns of Barry Fairbrother’s death and quickly springs into action.

The three-part miniseries premieres February 15 on BBC One in the UK. US viewers will have to wait a bit longer to see the series – HBO won’t air the first two parts until April 29 at 8:00 p.m. and the third part on April 30 at 8:00 p.m.
