How did you become a Harry Potter fan?
I was first introduced [to Harry] in first grade […] when a rather frequent substitute teacher would read the Sorcerer’s Stone to us. Not shortly after, my [a]unt was raving about the series, and [I] didn’t really realize it was the same book, [but] I decided since my aunt was reading it to read it myself as well. About a year later the first movie was in the makes, and I remember all the early merchandise and such that made it even more fun as a child. From that point on I was hooked.
Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.
All is well.
If you could have one prop from the set of the films, which would it be?
The Half[-]Blood Prince’s [b]ook. I would love to read and discover the secrets that Snape made as a student in Hogwarts.
What Potter fandom memory would you keep in your Pensieve?
I would keep the last book release that [I] attended at a local book shop. I attended [the releases for] books 5-7 there and watched it grow, and the last release was so big compared to the Order release that it was amazing to see the community together and all the local stores take part in the celebration[;] it was almost like the wizarding world well before its time. Seeing each book release get bigger and the amount of magic in the streets that night that built up to midnight and getting my hands on the books is something I will always remember.
