“Brooklyn”, “Ex Machina” Nominated for Producers Guild Awards

The Producers Guild Awards are fast approaching. We learned late last year that David Heyman (the producer of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) would be receiving a special honor at the awards.

The David O. Selznick Award will be given to Heyman for his outstanding work across the Harry Potter series and other projects, including Paddington and The Boy in Striped Pajamas.

This week, the full list of nominees were released, and we were delighted to see that there were some other familiar Potter names among the nominations.

Brooklyn, featuring Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley) and Julie Walters (Molly Weasley), is nominated for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. The film was produced by Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey.

Ex Machina, also starring Domhnall Gleeson, is also nominated for the same award. The film was produced by Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich.
