“Beam Me Up, Jason!”

by Megan Fischer · March 7, 2017

Captain’s Log, Stardate 70646.9

Potterheads and Trekkies unite! The Hollywood Reporter has announced that our very own Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) has joined the cast of Star Trek: Discovery! Isaacs is coming on board as Captain Lorca, captain of the USS Discovery (formerly the USS Enterprise)!

Nice chair. Hope it’s comfy. https://t.co/xwfdWAmBQW

Isaacs joins an already star-studded cast consisting of actors such as The Walking Dead‘s Sonequa Martin-Green and celebrated character actor Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy).

Star Trek: Discovery is slated to premiere in either late summer or fall of this year, with no definite start date confirmed at this time.

What do you think of Isaacs’ casting? Are you excited to see him in the Starfleet uniform in the captain’s chair?
