“Potter” at the Proms! John Williams to Be Celebrated in a Special Concert
We previously reported that the New York Pops would be performing some of John Williams’ most iconic music, and it has now been revealed that the BBC Proms are set to follow suit!
The Proms, a series of annual classical music events, will celebrate the 85th birthday of Williams, covering themes from some of his best-known works, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and of course, Harry Potter.
Proms director David Pickard is keen for the audience to be as involved as possible, even if that means dressing up!
Will people come dressed as ‘Star Wars’ characters? I’d be really disappointed if they don’t.
The concert will be part of what’s sure to be an exciting summer of music hosted by the Proms, marking the event’s 123rd anniversary. Check out the video below to get an idea of what to expect!
