Where In the World Is “Fantastic Beasts” 2 Filming?

The filming locations for huge movies like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have to be kept under wraps so that production companies can protect plot details from well-meaning but nosy fans. However, sometimes these fans are expert sleuths and are able to figure out where filming is going on regardless of the precautions taken. Two of these clever fans are Emma Causer and her son Jacob, who may have discovered the current filming location of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2!

People started to suspect something was up when filming crews started setting up among the beautiful Gothic architecture of Highgate Cemetary. Neighbors had been informed by Warner Bros. and Triton Films that the cemetery would be used as a location for an unidentified film and apologized in advance for trucks, lights, and generators being brought into the Victorian burial ground. Volunteer guides knew nothing of the film’s nature, and cemetery workers had signed contracts agreeing not to discuss it. Causer had taken a tour the weekend before and noticed the activity but finally solved the mystery when she noticed a few crucial clues:

[The] clues were Warner Bros [.]and Triton Films, and the addition of a black column by the Egyptian Avenue and the sign, ‘Le Prevost de Basserode’, added above one of the vaults in the Circle of Lebanon. My son thinks it must be Fantastic Beasts. The new one is set partly in France, so it makes sense.

Triton Films hasn’t responded to Causer’s claims, so it’s up to you to decide if you believe it! We have to admit, the evidence does seem to point to the presence of our favorite Magizoologist’s presence in Highgate Cemetery, but we won’t know for sure until next November 16, when Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 is released.
