Warner Bros. Releases New TV Spot for “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”

November is around the corner and excitement is building for the new Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie. To get everyone even more excited, Warner Bros. has released a new TV spot for the film.

Fans who have watched all the trailers (probably a couple hundred times) will notice that the new spot mostly includes footage that has already been released, but there are snippets of new stuff here and there. Among these new snippets, there is a scene between Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol) and Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) that looks very ominous. November can’t come soon enough.

The film will see Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and his friends traveling to Europe as they attempt to defeat the rising darkness that Grindelwald is bringing to the wizarding world. Redmayne spoke about this in a previous interview:

What’s happened is Grindelwald’s belief that pure[-]bloods should reign over all non-magical beings is a political thing. He’s rallying more and more people and it causes divisions across families. He’s pretty hypnotic. When I read [the script] it had these cryptic elements to it and it played like a thriller that made it a page-turner.

Redmayne also expressed his excitement over the script, calling it “labyrinthian.”

It’s like you’re going down this maze and Jo is weaving the stories together with such intricacy. Along the way these connections to Harry Potter and secrets are falling at your feet. There is one… I got to the end and my jaw dropped. There was one thing I didn’t see coming.

Dan Fogler, who plays Jacob Kowalski, also weighed in on the subject.

It reminds me a lot of The Empire Strikes Back. The first movie is so positive. It’s sweet and lovely. But this time everybody is really put under fire. People are gonna see this like a 100 times just to get everything. They’re going to be going nuts that they have to wait for the next one.

The new film seems to promise fans everything they want: an action-packed movie with a lot of magic, drama, and a cliffhanger that will leave you counting down the days to the release of the next installment.

You can watch the new TV spot below.

Marica Laing

Growing up, I was a massive fan of Harry Potter and my love for the stories grew as I got older. It’s no surprise then that I love writing about all things Potter related. When I’m not writing about all the magic, you’ll find me reading (probably something Harry Potter related), listening to music, or writing some songs.
