Rupert Grint, formerly Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, is starring as Inspector Crome in the new TV series The ABC Murders alongside John Malkovich (Dangerous Liaisons), Andrew Buchan (Broadchurch), Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust), and several others.

Update (December 22):

BBC One has released new clips from the series, and this looks to be a very different role for Grint! Check out the clips on the BBC’s website here.

The show is set in 1933, but there is a scene featuring Anya Chalotra as Lily Marbury where she is singing the song “Somewhere over the Rainbow,” which wasn’t released until 1939. Director Alex Gabassi stated that the song choice was a simple mistake. Chalotra chose the song herself after Gabassi struggled to find a song he could get permission to use.

The ABC Murders is a TV adaptation of a novel by Agatha Christie and follows the story of Hercule Poirot as he tracks down a serial killer who leaves a copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each of his crimes. The ABC Murders will air in three parts on the BBC in the United Kingdom and will also be available on Amazon.
