New LEGO “Harry Potter” Sets Are Barnes & Noble Exclusive During July

Get ready, LEGO collectors, because Barnes & Noble is releasing four new LEGO sets on July 1, 2019. These sets can only be purchased at Barnes & Noble for the month of July. Barnes & Noble is also planning a LEGO building event for July 13 called “Build a Golden Snitch.” Further details on the special event have not yet been revealed.

The four sets to be released are 75946 Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge, 75947 Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Rescue, 75957 The Knight Bus, and 75948 Hogwarts Clock Tower.

In related news, recent data shows that despite the age of the Harry Potter book series, the franchise is still going strong in the toy department. A Harry Potter toy is being sold every five minutes in the United Kingdom according to the NPD Group. Interestingly, a whopping 76% of Harry Potter toy sales are to children under the age of 18. These children would have been only six years old at most when the final book was published.

LEGO, of course, is responsible for a lot of the success in Harry Potter toy sales. Of the top ten best-selling Harry Potter toys, LEGO holds six spots. This includes the number one spot, which goes to 2018’s 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall.
