Social Media Roundup: Preparing for “Potter” in Portugal

Welcome back to Social Media Roundup! In this edition, wizarding world stars reunite, join Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Portugal, and reminisce about all things Potter.

Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) reunited at Rhode Island Comic Con earlier this month. And judging from these Instagram posts, they had a great time!

Not long after their adventures in Rhode Island, James and Oliver jumped on a plane to Portugal to visit the latest stop for Harry Potter: The Exhibition. The exhibition opened in Lisbon this weekend and will run through April 8, 2020. While in Portugal, soccer fans James and Oliver paid a visit to the stadium of Portuguese champions S.L. Benfica.

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has also been revisiting all things Potter by posing in Slytherin robes next to a photo of his younger self.

However, things haven’t been plain sailing and Potter for our favorite Slytherin. Tom posted a series of tweets about a tricky situation he found himself in at the airport.

Emma Watson’s (Hermione Granger) British Vogue interview captured the headlines when it was published earlier this month. She took to Twitter to share some of her favorite images from the photoshoot.

If you still haven’t had a chance to catch Emma’s interview, where she discussed Little Women, her career, and turning 30, then check out MuggleNet’s highlights.

Finally, we here at MuggleNet send our warmest congratulations to Scarlett Byrne (Pansy Parkinson), who recently announced her marriage to Cooper Hefner. Congratulations to the happy couple!

That’s it for this week’s Social Media Roundup. See you next time for even more updates from your wizarding world faves.

Lucy O'Shea

I was given a copy of Philosopher's Stone in 2001, and instantly, I was hooked. Since then, my passion for Potter has been equaled only by my passion for fair access to education (and watching motorsport). A spell I wish could exist in the Muggle world is the summoning charm because this Hufflepuff is not a "particularly good finder"!
