When my package finally arrived and I had the joy of unwrapping it to get my first glimpse of the journal, I was thrilled to find a book that exceeded my expectations in every way. This is a gorgeous journal with a high-quality cover that will look perfect on your bookshelf, fitting right in with your (ever-expanding, if you are anything like me) Wizarding World collection.

The bucket list inside, a fantastic collection of magical tasks and places every fan of Harry Potter should experience, covers practically every real-world Harry Potter adventure I could imagine – everything from reading the Harry Potter books and watching the films to baking your own Hagrid-inspired “Happee Birthdae Harry” cake to visiting Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

For me, flipping through the journal was a mix of sentimentality and sweet memories of the things I’ve done before, excitement for all the big experiences I’ve yet to have, and wonder at all the great ideas I’ve never considered. I was impressed with the range of the ideas included on the list; some will have you traveling across the world, while others are so simple and fun you’ll be wondering why you’ve never thought of them before.

The author of this charming checklist left nothing out; they’ve even included images to go with the suggestions on each page, some of our favorite quotes from the books, and a few entries left blank for you to write in your own ideas!

But what comes already printed in the journal is, of course, only half the fun. I also had a great time thinking up creative ways to fill the completed pages and picking out my favorite pictures and stickers to include. You don’t have to settle for checking boxes – write down memories or quotes, add in ticket stubs and souvenirs, and do whatever you want to make the journal your own.

Looking through these magical ideas may have sparked a butterbeer-fueled eight-movie marathon in my house, but hey, who’s to know? It’s not like the portraits on my walls can talk. But if they could, they would tell you that you’re going to love looking through and filling out The Ultimate Harry Potter Bucket List as much as I did, and it just may inspire you to try a few of the ideas for yourself!
