Mads Mikkelsen Reveals “Fantastic Beasts” 3 Includes Epic Battle Scene

Most of us are pretty much starving for new information regarding the upcoming Fantastic Beasts 3 film. We still have no idea what to expect from the plot or what the title is going to be, but some new information has surfaced, and it’s worth getting excited about.

Mads Mikkelsen, who is portraying the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the third installment of the franchise, has revealed in a recent interview that fans can look forward to an epic battle between Grindelwald and Newt Scamander.  According to Mikkelsen, they were working on the battle scene for “three weeks straight,” which means it has got to be pretty awesome and magical, and hopefully, it’s just as good – or even better – than some of the most memorable battle scenes in the Harry Potter films.

This most likely means that Newt will once again take center stage in this film after being a bit sidelined in the second installment. It will also be very interesting to see how the plot unfolds and how Mikkelsen portrays the role of Grindelwald. He recently revealed that he is not planning on copying what Johnny Depp did with the character, saying that he is trying to create some bridges between Depp’s performance of the Dark wizard and his own. He also admitted that stepping onto the set while filming was already underway was a bit daunting, but the cast did their best to make him feel welcome.

I’m just this guy trying to fill out these shoes that somebody else has been wearing. It’s difficult to come three months into shooting while taking over for someone like that. They did their best to make me feel at home, each knocking on my trailer door.

Hopefully, the reveal of the epic battle scene is just the beginning of more information coming our way. The film is set to be released on July 15, 2022, so there’s still a long way to go until we can finally dive into the magical world of Fantastic Beasts again. In the meantime, we’ll just rewatch the first two films to make sure we remember every detail of the story before the third installment is released.

Growing up, I was a massive fan of Harry Potter and my love for the stories grew as I got older. It’s no surprise then that I love writing about all things Potter related. When I’m not writing about all the magic, you’ll find me reading (probably something Harry Potter related), listening to music, or writing some songs.
