Cityneon Holdings Partners with Warner Bros. to Develop Immersive Experiences for DC, Wizarding World Franchises

by Mary Wojcicki · December 20, 2021

On December 16, Cityneon Holdings announced its partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment “to produce two brand-new, unique global touring themed art experiences inspired by DC and the Wizarding World, slated to launch in 2023.” Cityneon Holdings, based in Singapore, is an experience entertainment company that has created attractions such as Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. in partnership with Disney and Marvel and The Hunger Games: The Exhibition in partnership with Lionsgate. (Harry Potter: The Exhibition, meanwhile, was originally created by Global Experience Specialists, and its newest version was created by Imagine Exhibitions.)

According to a press release from Cityneon, fans can expect a multimedia experience.

Audiences around the globe will be awestruck as they are able to engage in an all-new way with their favorite Super Heroes [sic] and the beloved Wizarding World through immersive themed art environments. Both experiences will fuse cutting-edge media, sound, and technology together to create a truly sensorial visitor experience.

Both Ron Tan, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of Cityneon, and Peter van Roden, SVP Themed Entertainment at Warner Bros., were quoted in the press release on the partnership, though few details were provided about what the new partners have in store. Van Roden, however, described “fresh, innovative and immersive experiences where guests can interact with the franchises like never before.”

With so many ways to interact with the Wizarding World already – from the new virtual reality (VR) experiences at Harry Potter New York to Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience in England – and a promise in the press release of more details to come, we can’t wait to hear more about what’s in store in 2023.
