“SpeakBeasty” Episode 159: “New Mirror Who Dis?”

On this episode of SpeakBeasty, our hosts continue with a scene-by-scene breakdown of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. 

 

 

Armed with several rewatches and the published screenplay book, hosts Amy, Ann, Marjolaine, and Shannen take a deep dive into Scenes 15 to 19 in the screenplay. It’s a depressing batch of scenes, but there is a lot of good content to discuss. From sad boys to dark veins to fallen grooms, our hosts cover it all!

In the “Phoenix Register,” we find out where our French friends can stream the Wizarding World films, and “Owl Post” brings us some letters about Fantastic Beasts merch.

The “No-Maj Movie Magic” segment focuses on the work of Bryn Court, a sculptor who has worked on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, as well as creating statues and sculptures for Universal theme parks. Host Shannen had a chance to hear Bryn speak while attending LeakyCon in Orlando.
