New Magical Creatures Update on “Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells”

In response to player feedback, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells has launched a new feature update to the match-three mobile game, allowing players to make better use of the magical creatures that are featured within the game.

The update, which comes just weeks after the game revealed some magical milestones in celebration of its second anniversary, makes“unlockable magical creatures more helpful in completing puzzles,” and these creatures “now provide additional rewards and brand-new tiered benefits the more you play.”

The Magical Creatures feature is unlocked after Puzzle 24 and “provides an improved way to collect [c]reatures through the new [c]reature [p]oints that come from [s]tar, [c]rystal, and [g]old [c]hests.”

By winning [p]uzzles, players earn [s]tars that open [s]tar [c]hests containing [c]ommon and [r]are [c]reatures. After beating a new [p]uzzle on the first attempt, players of Level 90 and above earn [c]reature [c]rystals that unlock [c]rystal [c]hests with highly coveted [r]are and [e]pic [c]reatures. Rare and [e]pic [c]reatures can also be unlocked from [g]old [c]hests using [g]old [c]oins that can be earned in the game. Once [m]agical [c]reatures are obtained, players can now level up their [c]reatures for greater powers, getting more help to win [p]uzzles with each [w]in [s]treak [p]ower-up, [e]pic [b]oost, or [b]last [r]adius board clear.

Zynga’s executive vice president of games, Yaron Leyvand, commented on the new update:

Our new update puts [m]agical [c]reatures in the spotlight as both collectible companions and important strategic allies that players can level up to boost their [m]atch-3 adventure progress through the wizarding world. Our goal for Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is to continuously provide new and exciting content to reward and engage our community – our players let us know they wanted to do even more with their in-game [c]reatures, and we’re happy to oblige!

It’s great to know that the makers of Puzzles & Spells are willing to take on player feedback in making the game even better than it already is. The new creature update is now live on Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells for players who have completed Puzzle 24.
