Countdown to Expo Patronum: More special guests announced!

It’s hard to believe that MuggleNet Live! 2015: Expo Patronum is almost upon us. When the event was announced on Halloween, it seemed so far away, but we at MuggleNet have begun our 30-day countdown to Expo Patronum! From planning flights and getting our passports, the MuggleNet staff could not be more excited – and we hope that you are, too!

While we already have a number of wonderfully talented special guests set to attend Expo Patronum on April 18, we are thrilled to announce some more!

First, please welcome the graphic design duo MinaLima to Expo Patronum! Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina are the visionaries who created the unique graphic art of the Harry Potter films, theme parks, and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. From the products that line the shelves of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes to the Daily Prophet, Eduardo and Miraphora helped to create and introduce the iconic look and feel of Harry’s world. Additionally, their work can be seen in such films as The Fault in Our Stars and The Imitation Game, the latter of which was nominated for a number of Academy Awards.

Next, please welcome Gary Tomkins! Gary served as the art director throughout the entire Harry Potter film series and was responsible for bringing Stuart Craig’s film set designs to life. Starting from the blueprints, he then supervised the construction of the miniatures of Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade Village, the Burrow, and Privet Drive, just to name a few! He was also involved in designing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks alongside Stuart Craig and Alan Gilmore, and we cannot wait to hear about his experiences!
