HeForShe Arts Week Begins This Week!
If you’re like us, you’re probably familiar with the HeForShe campaign founded by UN Women and backed by, of course, UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson. (If not, see here!)
Keeping in tradition with last year, HeForShe announced that the annual HeForShe Arts Week will be held from March 8 to March 15.
Art both reflects and influences culture; in partnership with artists and art institutions, we can evolve the behaviors, norms, and perceptions that shape our cultural view of gender.
UN Women, the United Nations organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women, is proud to present HeForShe Arts Week, which runs from March 8th [sic] to March 15th [sic], 2017.

HeForShe is a solidary campaign for the advancement of women. Its goal is to engage men and boys as agents of change by encouraging them to take action against negative inequalities faced by women and girls.
