Review & Giveaway: Geek Gear’s September World of Wizardry Unboxing!

by Lucy O'Shea · October 13, 2018

The school year is in full swing and we’re back to wearing our House colors with pride with our World of Wizardry September boxes from Geek Gear! There were some great items to be discovered in this month’s box, so make sure to take a look at our reviews before scrolling down to enter to win one of three boxes in October.

The following is included in each monthly box:

  • One wizarding world-themed T-shirt
  • One exclusive print
  • Four other wizarding world-themed and officially licensed products
Lucy's Review - Hufflepuff
This was my first World of Wizardry box, and as soon as I unfolded the yellow paper, I knew I was in for a treat! There were some really cool items included in this box, and I will definitely be wearing my House beanie as the weather turns colder.

The T-shirt we received was similar to the one featured in the July box and featured a figure on a broomstick in the moonlight. I'm not sure if they are meant to be part of a set, but I love that they match! This month's print was a symbolic Gellert Grindelwald design, just in time for the release of the next installment of the Fantastic Beasts series next month.

The best thing about this box, however, was the wand designed by the winner of the Design a Wand Competition. The detail of the phoenix was incredible, and I loved how the feathers floating down the wand were to symbolize rebirth. Overall, I loved the contents of this box!

Lizzie's Review - Gryffindor Box

This month, our wand was a very special addition to the box! It was the competition winner's design and wow, did they do a good job! Not only is it creative and super original, but it also makes a beautiful addition to any wand collection. The T-shirt was super cute. I really like the silhouette design of a student flying over Hogwarts, and once again, it was of a really high quality and super soft. Every time I start to think I know what to expect from the subscription box, Geek Gear turns it on its head and surprises us with something new! I was not prepared for the Crimes of Grindelwald print, though - Fantastic Beasts fans, look at this print at your own risk!

Megan's Review - Slytherin Box
We were well into October before this box got to me, so that was a bit of a letdown if I'm being honest. I personally think that shipping speed is one of the downsides to this subscription.
However, the contents of the box were great. Holy moly, that wand! It's so beautiful and very nice quality! I'm continuously impressed by the T-shirt designs in these boxes. I'm beginning to need my own drawer purely for Potter-themed T-shirts!
Obviously, my favorite item was the beanie. Beanies have been my go-to accessory since I was 16. This one is very warm and has very nice embroidery on the front.

Now it’s your turn to experience the magic from Geek Gear’s World of Wizardry! Enter our contest below for your chance to win one of three October World of Wizardry boxes. The contest will be open worldwide from October 13 through 11:59 p.m. on October 18. Winners will be contacted via email after the giveaway ends and must respond within 24 hours or another winner will be chosen. Winners will get to choose their T-shirt size and House, so go forth and enter for your chance to win a box and rep your Hogwarts House pride!
