Magical Mischief Comes to House of MinaLima London

by Mary Wojcicki · April 1, 2023

On March 17, MinaLima, the graphic design team behind much of the magic of the Wizarding World franchise, announced that the House of MinaLima London location would be closing temporarily to make way for something special.

After a few more days of waiting, all has been revealed. Visitors to House of MinaLima London are in for a special treat, courtesy of none other than Fred and George Weasley. A press release sent on behalf of MinaLima notes what to expect.

Opening on Saturday 1 April in honour of the (in)famous twins’ birthday, the exhibit is a curated collection of 20 limited[-]edition art prints from the graphic designers’ favourite artworks created for the Weasleys[‘] Wizard Wheezes film set in Harry Potter and [t]he Half-Blood Prince.

This will include some of the products for which the Weasley twins become known later on in the Harry Potter series.

Full of colour and comedic wit in equal measure, fans will be able to take a closer look at the artwork of the packaging created for much-loved graphic props from [t]he Skiving Snackbox – a range of sweets to make Hogwarts students ill enough to get out of trouble or lessons [–] to Decoy Detonators – a loud-noise [sic] and smoke[-]producing magical object designed to create a diversion [–] from the Nose-[B]iting Tea Cup [sic] to the Jinx[-]Off – a kit of hat, coat and gloves offering protection from spells.

Those who can’t Apparate to London right away will be happy to know that the exhibit will be on display at House of MinaLima London until August. At the time of publication, it is unclear if or when this exhibit will make its way to the other House of MinaLima locations around the world after its time in London.
