The Weinstein Company has acquired rights to Rupert Grint’s Argentine animated film Foosball, which has been renamed Underdogs for release in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and France. We previously reported that the film is set for release in the UK under the name The Unbeatables. Rupert stars as the reluctant hero whose foosball table players magically come to life and help him in an underdog match to save the town from his long-time rival.

Disney released a sneak peak this week at CinemaCon of its upcoming live action remake of Cinderella. The film is directed by Harry Potter alumnus Sir Kenneth Branagh and stars fellow alumna Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother. The star-studded cast also includes Cate Blanchett as the Evil Stepmother, Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) as Prince Charming, and Lily James (Downton Abbey) as Cinderella.

In Le Week-End, Jim Broadbent (who played Professor Slughorn in the Harry Potter series) and Lindsay Duncan play a long-married British couple spending a weekend in Paris, where they spent their honeymoon 30 years earlier. Some new trailer stills have been released that hint at the exploits the duo may find themselves in. The film opens this month. Will you be checking it out?

As previously reported, Dan Radcliffe will be guest starring on The Simpsons for a second time, this time playing the character Diggs, an aspiring falconry champion. In this newly released promotional video, Dan discusses his character and American accent, which he says he’s quite comfortable with.
