I would like the fans of MuggleNet to join me, on behalf of the entire staff, to wish Kat Miller a very happy birthday today! Kat has been a member of the MuggleNet Staff for over 7 years, beginning her career as a coder and volunteering to take on odd jobs throughout the website. Her dedication and organizational skills have allowed her to blossom into one of the most significant members of the MuggleNet and Harry Potter communities.
Today we celebrate yet another milestone in the Harry Potter fan community. The events of Harry’s second year at Hogwarts took place 20 years ago today. Over on Twitter we relived a bit of that magic by sharing events as they unfolded in the Chamber of Secrets ranging from Professor McGonagall’s declaration of all students to return to the house dormitories, to Hagrid returning from his stint in Azkaban.
It’s that time again, fans! MuggleSpace – MuggleNet’s own Harry Potter social network – is holding its annual Banner Contest. Last year’s contest produced some amazing and inspiring designs (like the above picture), and we’re eager to see you guys do it again!
