J.K. Rowling has never been shy about talking about her experience with mental illness. So it’s encouraging to see that as mental health awareness grows, more and more actors and alumni from the “Harry Potter” series are keen to speak out as well.
Last week, we reported that Julie Walters would be attending an awards ceremony for the Samaritans in Horsham, Sussex, UK. Walters is a patron of the charity, which offers a listening ear to those in need, providing support and advice. The awards event took place on Tuesday, and Walters handed out certificates to the winners of a school competition to design a Christmas card for the charity.
