It’s been 20 years since the very first installment of the “Harry Potter” series was published. As a tribute, I have compiled a list of 20 life lessons I’ve gleaned since reading the first book when I was in the third grade.
Today we pay our respects to Alan Rickman with seven of his most memorable lines from one of his most beloved roles: Professor Severus Snape. May he rest in peace knowing how much he impacted us through his work, then, now, and always.

Ownership of the Magic Tree, an independent bookstore in the western Chicago suburb of Oak Park, Illinois, is changing hands. MuggleNet held two “Harry Potter” book release parties in coordination with the Magic Tree and has compiled stories and details of the Magic Tree’s impressive 30-year existence.
We are deeply saddened to report that Rik Mayall, who portrayed the character of Peeves in “Sorcerer’s Stone”, has died at age 56. Although his scenes were cut from the final version of the film, we’d still like to pay our respects to the late actor.
