John Williams, the legendary composer responsible for the iconic music in the Potter film series, is to conduct a benefit concert in Oregon. Williams will lead the Oregon Symphony in an exciting benefit concert of music from the movies on Monday, April 28 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. in Portland, OR.
Joining Williams on stage will be the violinist Bing Wang, Associate Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, to perform Williams’s own arrangements of music from Scent of a Woman and Fiddler on the Roof. All proceeds from this special event, entitled “John Williams: Maestro of the Movies,” will go toward the Oregon Symphony’s award-winning education and community outreach efforts.
