Make-A-Wish makes Potter fan’s dream come true with trip to Wizarding World

Five-year-old Hunter Bernhardt is a huge Harry Potter fan who has seen all six movies countless times. Now, he’s going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park’s grand-opening in June thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Hunter was born with a heart defect and last year, was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma. “When he was 20 days old he had a heart transplant. He’d been doing well with his heart until this past summer [when] he was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma.” Belmont University’s Greek community raised money and teamed up with Make-A-Wish to set up a party earlier this week where Hunter and his family learned they’d be making the trip to Orlando this summer.

“I am so proud,” said Jacob. “I wish I could be half as tough as he is because he is so strong and so brave, and I wish I could be like that.”
