“Deathly Hallows – Part 1” shortlisted in Visual Effects category at 2011 Academy Awards

It was just about a month ago when we told you Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 made the list of semi-finalists in the Visual Effects category for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

Today the Academy announced the film has been shortlisted along with Alice in Wonderland, Hereafter, Inception, Iron Man 2, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Tron: LEGACY.

The list will be narrowed down again on January 20, and the winner will be announced during the Academy Awards on February 27.
