UK Tabloid “The Mirror” claims Wizarding World parks set to be built in United Kingdom and South Korea (updated)

[UPDATE: Since posting this story we’ve heard from Romley Davis, a company who is working with Warner Brothers to create the museum at Leavesden Studios.  They’ve confirmed to us that there are currently no plans for a UK park.

Additionally, we can now exclusively reveal that an announcement will be made this Thursday regarding the behind the scenes look at Harry Potter being built at Leavesden Studios – the place they’ve filmed all eight Potter films!  We’ll post as soon as we get the info.]

The Mirror is reporting that two Wizarding World parks are being planned for the United Kingdom and South Korea.

They say the recent filing of Wizarding World trademarks in the UK have led them to believe a park is in development there.

As for South Korea, The Mirror claims a Wizarding World will open at the upcoming MGM Studio City in 2014.  The company allegedly developing the park did have a hand in Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World Grand Opening, and they are currently working on the Potter museum at Leavesden Studios.

This is the first time we’ve heard about either of these parks being in development, so at this point we have to take the rumors with a grain of salt.  Don’t forget we also heard talk of a park being built in India several months ago.

Wizarding World at Universal Orlando has seen tremendous success, so it’d be no surprise if Warner Brothers was truly planning other parks.  As always, we’ll keep you updated!
