MuggleNet’s Harry Potter Character March Madness Tournament enters the “FINAL FOUR”

by Keith Hawk · Published March 29, 2012 · Updated January 19, 2017

We began with 64 and now just 4 remain in MuggleNet’s Harry Potter Character March Madness Tournament. The FINAL FOUR leaves very few surprises.

Over the last couple of weeks, you, the fans, have voted to support your favorite characters from the Harry Potter series. We appreciate all the support you have shown, but now it’s time for the final battles to take place.

In the Hogsmeade Division, Nymphadora Tonks (6), who narrowly defeated the second seeded Draco Malfoy was defeated by the overall No. 1 seed Harry Potter. In the Azkaban Division, No. 1 seed Neville Longbottom used some serious defensive spells and the brilliant use of a Confundus Charm in the last few hours to defeat one of the fan favorites, Luna Lovegood (2).

In the Burrow Division, Severus Snape, the surprise 3 seed was as powerful as ever in his defeat of the fourth seed Sirius Black. And finally in the Diagon Alley Division, the No. 1 seed Hermione Granger played a dominant match that left No. 6 seed Professor Minerva McGonagall begging for mercy.

This sets the stage for the FINAL FOUR matchups as two No. 1 seeds will do battle in the West – Harry Potter versus Neville Longbottom; and in the East it’ll be No. 1 seed Hermione Granger against the ever so powerful No. 3 seed Severus Snape.

Which of the winners from these matches will wind up in the Finals? You must decide. Head on over to the March Madness page and cast your vote NOW!
