“Harry Potter” nominated for Favourite Film Franchise in 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards

It may have been over one year since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was released, but the enormously successful film series continues to be critically recognized, this time by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA).

The BFCA have announced the nominations for the 2012 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and have included a brand new category, the favourite film franchise, for which the Harry Potter series has been nominated. This fan-voted category also includes Lord of the Rings, Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Star Wars, James Bond/007, Spider-Man, Toy Story, and Twilight among the nominees.

The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at a live ceremony in Los Angeles.
