Video: Dan Radcliffe loves to film in Canada and is anxious for the Sundance Film Festival

by Keith Hawk · Published December 4, 2012 · Updated January 19, 2017

Daniel Radcliffe was a guest on ET Canada recently where he talked about filming in Canada, the privacy of his life outside of the studios, and how anxious he is to see his film Kill Your Darlings premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

ET Canada: Are you starting to feel a little bit like an honorary Canadian right now? I mean Toronto, Whistler, Squamish, Vancouver?

Dan: Yeah, absolutely, we have been everywhere. Actually, what is very impressive about Canada is people don’t really do English accents as much around me as in America. I can film anytime of the week very happily.

ET Canada: Do you feel your audience has a good sense of who you are?

Dan: That’s very hard to say.

ET Canada: Would you like people to know more about who you are?

Dan: No! Good actors don’t really seek out paparazzi attention and all of that stuff, but to a certain extent it’s unavoidable. I don’t think anyone knows me, I think they have a sense of what I am like as a person and I think that’s good, but I don’t think the day to day details of someone’s life, as I said many times, needs to be known.

We reported previously that Dan’s latest film Kill Your Darlings was set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival along with Rupert Grint’s film The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. You can listen to the video from ET Canada to hear Dan’s excitement of his film release.

Will you be attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah next month?
