Tickets still available for John Williams: Maestro of the Movies

John Williams, composer of the first three Harry Potter films, returns to the Hollywood Bowl on August 30 and 31. This year he will not only be conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic in some of his greatest hits, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, and hopefully Harry Potter, but actress Julie Andrews will be joining him for a tribute to director Blake Edwards and composer Henry Mancini. Mancini’s daughter, Monica Mancini, will also be in attendance. Tickets are still available for both performances via the website.

In related news, Williams has recently been confirmed to reprise his role as sole composer for the upcoming Star Wars sequels. He has only been signed for Episode VII, but has not turned down the next two films as of yet.
