New Kazu Kibuishi back cover art revealed for “Sorcerer’s Stone”

Yesterday the Deathly Hallows 15th Anniversary cover was finally unveiled, and the press release from Scholastic also revealed that Kazu Kibuishi not only created seven beautiful covers for the front of each Harry Potter book, he also created new art for the books’ back covers!

Looks like the summer of cover reveals will until August 7th! Each day until then, a new back cover will be revealed every day at 9 a.m. EST. This morning’s reveal was of the back of Sorcerer’s Stone.

You can view the hi-res version of the back cover below.

What do you think of the back cover? Now that you know more art is going to be revealed, are there any moments from the books that didn’t make the front covers you are hoping to see?

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
