First look at interactive wands at Wizarding World

There have been rumors circulating the web about the potential introduction of interactive wands at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. Now, thanks to the Universal Orlando blog, we have confirmation of this exciting feature, as well as our first look at the wands in action with none other than James and Oliver Phelps and Bonnie Wright!

According to the blog, guests of the park will have the opportunity to pick up their very own interactive wand at shops in both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade Village, as well as a map with locations of the interactive spots of the park. By performing the correct wand movement and saying the correct incantations, guests will be able to manipulate various displays throughout the park!

The Universal Orlando blog states,

Pick up an Interactive Wand at a store in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, then look for bronze medallions embedded in the street that mark the various shop windows where you can cast spells. Once you’re there, just perform the correct spell, and watch the magic come to life.

With a simple swish and flick, you can levitate a feather quill at Scribbulus…

Use a Silencing Charm to quiet the maddening song of the Fwooper bird at Magical Menagerie…

And light all the lamps and chandeliers in [the] Flimflam’s Lanterns window…

In addition to the exciting news, the blog has released an exclusive video of James and Oliver Phelps and Bonnie Wright using the new wands in Diagon Alley! Take a look here:
