“Fantastic Beasts”‘s Modesty Has Been Cast!

A few weeks ago, we told you about the open auditions for the role of Modesty in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Today, we have learned that the part has been cast!

BBC is reporting that ten-year-old Faith Wood-Blagrove, a new actress from the UK, will play the “haunted” character. Thousands of girls ages 8-12 auditioned for the role. The character was described to have an “inner strength and stillness.”

This casting is, of course, reminiscent of the Luna Lovegood casting, which brought us the fabulous Evanna Lynch. BBC also compared it to Rupert Grint’s casting as Ron Weasley.

Fantastic Beasts will be released next year. Filming should be starting very soon.
