Potter Visits “Fantastic Beasts” Set

by Nicole Rivera · Published September 2, 2015 · Updated January 9, 2019

After seeing his eldest son, James Sirius Potter, off on the Hogwarts Express, the Head of the Auror office, Harry Potter, paid a visit to the Fantastic Beasts set….

“It’s Harry Potter!” yells Mr. Farrell as he runs toward Harry, eyes wide.

“Perfectus Totalus!” Madam Pomfrey shouts as she hits Farrell square in the back. “Poor boy. He’s still having trouble grasping the existence of our world.”

“You’re going to get me in trouble with Hermione,” Harry said as he approached Madam Pomfrey and me. “She sent me down here to ensure Muggle rights are being upheld.”

Madam Pomfrey replied with, “What would you have me do? Let him attack every wizard who walks on set?” She helped a dazed Colin off the ground, slipping a sippy cup into his hand. “There you go, dear. Drink up.”

“How is Hermione coming along with her Muggle Rights Act?”

Harry sighs. “Not well.”

“But you’re here?”

“You would be too if she’d called at your house five times a day for a week.”

“Do you have any alternate plans to ensure the secrecy of our kind?”

He smirks and pulls out a roll of parchment. A disclaimer is scribbled along the top: “By signing this page I solemnly swear that I will not reveal the existence of the wizarding world.”

“Sorry, Mr. Potter, but how is signing a roll of parchment going to ensure no one talks?”

“Let’s just say, I got a bit of inspiration from our Hogwarts days.”

“Does Hermione know? What will happen to them?”

“Oh, she knows. They won’t be permanently marked with pustules or anything. Once the Muggles sign this, if they try to speak of wizards or witches with any seriousness, they’ll go mute until they move on to a different topic.”

“What if they try to write about the experience?”

“Writer’s block.” Harry unraveled the scroll, handed a quill to Colin, and watched as he signed.

“You’re real, you know,” a bemused Colin said as he handed the quill back to Harry and sipped on his draft.

“Only in my mind,” Harry said as he moved on to Dan Fogler.

Mr. Potter obtained signatures from every Muggle on set and stayed just long enough to sign a few autographs before Apparating back to the Ministry.
