Soft Launch Rehearsals Held at WWoHP Hollywood!

Just days after we were able to get a sneak peek of the magic to come when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens at Universal Studios Hollywood in April, we at MuggleNet have discovered that the theme park has begun technical rehearsals for the opening of the new attractions!

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, a handful of lucky visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood were given the opportunity to explore the Wizarding World yesterday and today (February 12 and February 13), and it looks as though the rehearsal will continue through Sunday. The newspaper writes,

It’s common practice in the theme park industry to put rides and attractions through the operational process prior to official opening,” said park spokeswoman Audrey Eig.

The article adds,

During the technical rehearsals, the retail shops and restaurants, including Ollivanders Wand Shop and the Hogsmeade Pub, may also open for short periods. But park officials warn that they cannot guarantee when or if the new land will open on any given day.

The rehearsals will be held “sporadically,” so nothing can be said for certain, but California Informer has a number of Twitter posts covering the new attractions:

Some personal Facebook postings also confirm that a rehearsal is being held this weekend.

Are you excited for the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood? Were you able to visit Hogsmeade during the rehearsal, or are you hoping to visit tomorrow? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
