J.K. Rowling, Tom Burke Share Their Insight on “Strike”!

Over two years since we first learned that the Cormoran Strike series (written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith), it seems we are getting closer and closer to an air date! We’ve caught you up on casting and the fact that Rowling seems to be watching previews of the show. Now, it seems both author and actors are speaking out about their work on the project.

Tom Burke, who is playing the title detective character, said he is “overjoyed” to be playing such a “complex” role.

[The show] is peppered with moments of real emotional depth and meticulously grounded in the page-turning momentum of these novels. Cormoran’s world is rich and raw.

Rowling added that she is “thrilled” with the casting of the show and that writing the series is a “pure joy.” If it pleases the creator, it must be good!

There is still no announced air date for the miniseries, but we do know the first book, The Cuckoo’s Calling, will be split into three parts, while The Silkworm and Career of Evil will be split into two parts each.

Are you excited for the television series? Where do you think each book will be split? Let us know in the comments below!
