Matthew Lewis Joins ITV Drama “Girlfriends”
Harry Potter fans will get to see another familiar face when ITV’s new drama series Girlfriends airs! Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) has joined the cast of the show, which already includes both Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter) and Zoë Wanamaker (Madam Hooch) in lead roles, alongside Downton Abbey‘s Phyllis Logan.
The List elaborates on what is known of the show’s cast so far:
Miranda Richardson, Zoe Wanamaker and Phyllis Logan of ‘Downton Abbey’ have already been cast as the leads in the show, while Matthew has been joined by the likes of Daisy Head, Chris Fountain, Steve Evets, Elena Saurel, Thailia Zucchi and Emmett J Scanlon, according to Deadline.
The show, which focuses on “three friends struggling with the stresses of being modern women,” is being written and directed by Kay Mellor. Filming began on July 3, according to a tweet from Mellor’s Rollem Productions:
