New LEGO Set from “Crimes of Grindelwald” Offers a New Look into a Scene from the Film!

by Megan Fischer · March 14, 2018

Have you seen the trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald yet? No? Well, go do that now!

Now that we’ve got you all caught up, we’ve got some big news regarding a brief scene from the trailer. In the scene, we see a carriage led by Thestrals being chased by two figures on broomsticks. We don’t see any faces in this scene, so it’s hard to make out what exactly is happening.

Well, we *might* have an answer to that question, and we found it in an unexpected place! A new LEGO set called Grindelwald’s Escape offers up several new theories.

In this new set, you can put together figures of the carriage, Thestrals, and – wait for it – Grindelwald and Seraphina Picquery!

What does this mean?? It could mean Seraphina is one of the figures on the broomsticks chasing after the carriage, or it could mean that Seraphina for some reason is on Grindelwald’s side. The figures come with wands and blue “spells,” meaning they could be dueling each other, or they could be dueling together.

Would Seraphina turn to Grindelwald’s side? Or more interestingly, has she always been there? We know she was close with Percival Graves, so would it really be a surprise to see that she knew his secret all along?

We really hope Seraphina isn’t a double agent, but that kind of move would certainly be a good plot twist in what’s looking like an already plot twist-filled film!

What do you think? Is Seraphina chasing after Grindelwald or helping him escape? Let us know in the comments below!
